These terms are an agreement between you and EthnoEats (operated by Chris Peter, Urbana, Illinois). By creating an account or subscribing you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. You must be 18 or older.

EthnoEats is a subscription that assigns you a local restaurant for each of three redemption windows every week (Sunday–Monday, Tuesday–Thursday, Friday–Saturday) and gives you a one-time code (QR) for $3 off a purchase of $15 plus there. Restaurants are independent businesses. Hours, menus and offers can change, and the restaurant's staff decide at the register whether a code is valid.

The subscription costs $5.50 / month, charged through Stripe when you subscribe and then automatically every month until you cancel. Referral credits lower your price while the people you referred remain subscribed. We will give you at least 30 days' notice, by email, before any price increase applies to you, and you may cancel before it takes effect. Taxes are added where required.

You can cancel at any time, online, in two taps from your dashboard (no phone call or email needed). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. We do not give partial-month refunds, except where the law requires one or we made a billing error. If you were charged by mistake, email support@ethnoeats.com within 30 days and we will fix it. One redemption per window per account: up to three per week. Unused discounts do not carry over to the next window. Windows follow Chicago (Central) time. Codes are personal, work once and expire shortly after they are generated. Show your code before you pay. Deals cannot be combined with other offers unless the restaurant says so, and apply to the food and drink subtotal before tax and tip.

Keep your password private and give us accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account. Fake accounts, sharing or reselling codes, automated use and self-referrals are not allowed and may lead to suspension without refund.

You can be credited for up to 5 active referrals. Credits can be removed if a referral is fake, cancels, or breaks these terms.

We do not prepare or inspect food. Tell the restaurant about any allergy or dietary need before you order. We are not responsible for the quality, safety or labelling of food or for any restaurant's service.

We work to keep EthnoEats running but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or end the service; if we end it we will refund the unused part of your current period.

To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is" without warranties, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and you keep any consumer rights you have by law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts for Champaign County, Illinois, unless your local consumer law says otherwise. Please email us first so we can try to fix the problem.

We may update these terms. We will change the date above and email account holders about material changes. Using EthnoEats after a change means you accept it.
